Costa Rica Travel Triple Play

Two nights in the rainforest, two nights in a beautiful mountain lodge in the cloud forest and two nights relaxing at a beautiful beach on the Pacific. The name of the game is

Triple Play (9 days /8 nights)

Day 1. Arrival in Costa Rica. Upon your arrival you will be greeted by a Travel in Paradise representative that will assist you with your transfer to your hotel.

Day 2. You will be picked up at your hotel to take you by bus and later by boat to Tortuguero area. In the morning you will be driving through the Braulio Carrillo National Park**(1), witness of Hollywood's "Jurassic Park" and "Gorillas in the Mist". After a late lunch at Pachira Lodge, visit t the town of Tortuguero. (B,L,D)

Day 3. Slow moving rivers are the roads in Tortuguero. This day explore Tortuguero National Park **(2) by boat. Your guide will interpret the intricate relationships among the natural components of the tropical rainforest. (B,L,D).

Day 4. Fly out Tortuguero early in the morning. Enjoy breakfast on the way to the Irazu Volcano National Park**(8), the tallest in our country at almost 12000ft. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the cultivated land in the area of Cartago, our former capital. After lunch continue to San Gerardo de Dota at a beautiful mountain lodge. (B,L,D)

Day 5. Explore with your guide the mountainous forest in search of the resplendent quetzal and other beautiful highland birds. In the afternoon go for a nice horse back ride to the waterfall. (B,L,D)

Day 6. Move on today to enjoy the beautiful Pacific beaches. On the way you will pass by the city of San Isidro del General, beautiful landscapes as you go down the mountain towards the beach. (B,D)

Day 7. Enjoy the morning on a guided tour in Manuel Antonio National Park. Free afternoon to enjoy at your leisure. (B,D)

Day 8. On the way to San Jose today you will enjoy the beautiful landscapes contrasting from the beach to the mountains into central valley. You might want to take advantage of last shopping chances. Lunch is on your own but for dinner farewell your trip companions at a local restaurant. (B,D)

Day 9. Departure day. A Travel in Paradise representative will assist you to the airport for your flight back home. (B)

Includes:

Transportation: Airport/hotel transfers, land transportation. Flight from Tortuguero. Accomodations: for 8 nights at Superior Tourist-class hotels, in comfortable rooms with private bath. Meals: 8 breakfasts, 4 lunches, 7 dinners. Taxes of services given.

Sightseeing tours: guided boat rides in the Tortuguero Canals, Entrance fee to Irazu and Manuel Antonio National Parks, horse back ride tour in Savegre. Services of a bilingual naturalist guide.
